Alexander Cimos review about company Total Appliance Service Inc.
I was forced to use Total Appliance Service since they are the only authorized Electrolux repair company servicing my town. One oven in my double oven unit was not making temperature. By their own admission, none of the technicians to come to my home (3 of them) had ever worked on an Electrolux oven before. These are factory authorized repairmen?! No troubleshooting took place, the technician just began ordering random parts, none of which corrected my problem. During the 3rd visit I finally convinced the technician to call the manufacturer who immediately diagnosed the problem as a bake element and had the technician test the resistance on the element to verify. Bingo, an easy and inexpensive fix. It is a very common failure and should have been the first thing tested on the initial visit. While installing the bake element during the 4th visit, the technician shorted out the new control board that TAS had unnecessarily replaced on their 2nd visit. After 2 1/2 months I now have $600 of parts I didn’t need, $200 in labor charges, a completely non-functional oven, and no one at TAS will return my call. These people are both INCOMPETENT and DISHONEST - STAY AWAY
