Called them for a shower leak. The plumber, who was very friendly and seemed to know his stuff, misdiagnosed the problem as a shower pan leak. Since they don't repair that he recommended a tile installer, or offered to begin tearing out sheet rock for $500+ to verify the diagnosis. When we found wet carpet downstairs we figured out it was a water line. I called them back and asked them to send the same guy back out, which they scheduled a couple of days out. When he showed up it was someone else who wasn't much help either, just told me that our shower design was "a really dumb idea" I had to pay twice for no help. Ended up getting another plumber to do the job.

I paid for quality work and I received quality work.

At first, I had a miscommunication with the company regarding prices and my original quote from them, but I have to say after talking with one of the field managers, that the company definitely made up for the miscommunication by providing excellent service. Jeff came out to my house to install a gas line to an existing system for my kitchen stove which did not have gas run to it. He did an amazing job, and left no noticeable holes from the work that he did. The service provided was excellent, and as a customer facing representative of the company, Jeff was definitely a pleasure to deal with. I will definitely be using this company in the future to replace my hot water heater and most likely any other work that I need done.

Have been using Ben Franklin for years, and have been very pleased. Would rate 5 stars for normal service. But this weekend, all kitchen drains were stopped up. Ben Franklin after-hours service is unacceptable. Waited over two days and no plumber. Complaint is not so much that I could not get service, but the lack of communication on the status of the service request is unacceptable. After hours there is an answering service which can't help much and you really don't know before you call whether you will get answering service or the business. Three stars represents an average of five stars for normal service and 0 for after hours.

I have heard so many good things about your company, but I need to tell you that I was very disappointed when I contracted you to replace a fireplace valve that was not shutting all the way. Paying $900 for a valve that costs less than $100 at a big box hardware store locally. Then to pay $600 for a line check that took less than 10 minutes costing us a total of $1600. I wish we had the time to call for multiple quotes but we didn't.
