READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU USE THIS PLACE!!! Emergency service called due to a guest stating toilet and shower were not draining. Our NEST and RING recorded the technician stating it was from a tampon but don't worry, he's not going to list that because that's BS and the owner should pay for it. He them went on to state to our guests that a place like ours probably brought in $10,000 a month and he has no sympathy for us. Then our RING caught him saying that the owners usually pay for things like this (even thought our contractor had just finished plumbing work the week before and there's a reason the VHR certificates go for so much money. I contacted Steve, the owner, and he said it was a main line clog. Not one word about the technician stating the above to our guests. So unprofessional. We just paid the bill for $240 which we will be disputing with our credit card company. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, in the middle of the first winter weather of the season I had a clogged main line between the house and the street. Lake Tahoe Plumbing and Heating were the only plumbers that were able to help. Some did not even answer their phones. I called 3 other businesses in town before Lake Tahoe plumbing and heating. Steve called me back promptly. He explained how long it would be until someone would be out to help me and what it would cost. Emmitt arrived when he was estimated to arrive. 20 minutes later problem solved. Huge relief to have the use of our kitchen and bathroom back when you have a family of 5. Next time Lake Tahoe Plumbing and Heating will be my first call.

Their customer service is horrendous. They came out on a Friday (late) to fix my heating - the guy stayed 1 1/2 hours and said he'd have to charge me overtime to continue. Made arrangements for him to come out on Monday - I don't live locally so I drove up Monday. Called when they didn't show up and the guy was sick. I asked when someone could come out and they said they'd call me when someone was available. That was 10 days ago and still waiting. If there was any way I could give negative stars I would. They didn't care I was w/out heat. These people lost a customer and the sad part is they don't care - I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy!!!

I rarely leave any reviews online, but need to do this today! Just cannot believe what has happened! In early Feb, my property manger informed me that the furnace of my vacation house seemed to be not running (turned out to be a misjudgement later). I called Lake Tahoe Plumbing and Heating, and was told the service charge will be $70. I called a couple times that day and never got an update. The second day, the owner called me and said the furnace was running when the technician got there, but it was old, and suggested me to replace the whole furnace. I asked again, since they did not do anything at all, what the charge would be. He said he still needed to charge $70 service fee, and he would send me the invoice along with the quote of replacing the furnace. That is fine. However, since then, I have never heard from this company again. Over two months later, my credit card shows $140 charged by this company. I called, and now the owner says he never said $70 and someone spent one hour in my house that day so $140. I cannot believe a person can just deny what he said like that! He did agree that the furnace was running and they did nothing. Then, why one hour? Just watch it running? What about the invoice and the quote? Now I was told they had my email address wrong. But you do have my phone number and mailing address, right? In addition to that, since their “service” day till the day we arrived at the house, I had no tenant in between, a new ladder and a fairly new steam iron in the garage were gone. They were actually the only portable worthy items that someone can access from garage entry. What a coincidence! I know, after all, this is just a couple of hundred dollars wasted for nothing, but the whole experience makes me so sad and disappointed! I love Lake Tahoe, and have met many nice people here. For years, I have worked with quite some contractors in the area, while we were present or not during the service, never had an experience like this. My lesson learned is: NEVER NEVER NEVER do business with this company again! This was my 1st time working with Lake Tahoe Plumbing and Heating, definitely the last time!

Today July 19 2018 I received a call from Rosie, I was hoping she was calling to discount the charges for the service call where Todd wasted an hour because he could not turn off the water, so he called the city and waited, but then I came back and did it for him, even though the meter is insgight at the curb he wasted an hour at $110.00 / hour. I told her twice and also told her that Todd failed to turn the hotwahot back on an the tenants called me during dinner I went and turned it on. How much do I deserve ? Steve The owner of the company refused to talk with me and said that I always coplain. There employees are not smart or proffessional. Not coming to the phone to comprimise is stupid. Our maintenance manager recommended this service. He (Jeff) noted the time in and the time out, 2.5 hours, when we received the invoice they charged 3.5 hours @ $140/ hour. We spoke to the owner Steve and he found a discrepancy of .5 hours. He then said it wasn't worth it for him to review every bill, I asked him "is it better to send out dishonest invoices ?" He didn't respond I asked him to look deeper...... I hope he does, so we do not have to take it further.....all over the State of California we are charged $120.00 to $200.00 for the same job not $540.00....this company has had this problem in the past read other posts.
