Atrocious customer service. Installed new boiler at flat in 2017 in a job worth several thousand pounds. Two year servicing and works guarantee included in the quote from London Gas. Our experience thus far: 1) Did not perform any service in that period. 2) So we had to call an engineer from boiler manufacturing company to come in for the service. The enginerr remarked that the installation was done quite poorly. 3) In addition there was a leak in one of the connecting pipes.The engineer said that as the water was acidic we should not try to fix it and that the guys that installed (London Gas) should do it. 4) It was within the two year guarantee period so we contacted London Gas. They flat out refused out to come saying it was a simple job and that I should do it myself. When I mentioned that we were within the works guarantee period, London Gas said and I quote " I’m not driving for an hour and half for a 2 min job". Well, there you have it. Not only is it a breach of contract and rude to boot!
London Gas installed a new boiler for my Mum in Nov 2017. Charlie explained each stage of the installation and what the various system tests were for. They were very efficient and tidy and Mum was very pleased with their work. I would definitely recommend London Gas.

I approached Charlie from London Gas for help to install a larger gas pipe in my home from the street to the boiler. The location of the boiler meant that this was no easy task and no other registered gas installer had been able to come up with a reasonable solution. Charlie assessed the situation thoughtfully and came up with a logical and practical solution. He adhered to the original quote and did the work promptly. It was great to finally find a tradesperson so pleasant, honest and helpful. He will definitely be my go to person for gas/boiler issues in the future. I thoroughly recommend him. Charlie from London Gas were recommended to me by a work colleague.
