Akal Plumbing recently did the plumbing for my bathroom. I renovated it from a tub to a stand up shower and absolutely love my new shower hand bar. During all the stages they came in we never had a disappointing experience! Their prices are reasonable as we did receive couple of other quotations and are so glad we went with them, their workers are on-time and friendly, the quality of their work is exceptional!
Akal Plumbing & Heating provides excellent service and a quality product at fair prices. We replaces our boiler from a super hot to a viessman and my wife and I were very impressed with their work. The management team ensured that communication was always proactive and transparent. The work crew was polite, timely, diligent and cleaned up after itself. Other trades can learn from the professionalism of this company. I am happy to recommend this company
Akal Plumbing Recently installed Viessmann boiler at our house an we are really impressed with the work done. The prices are reasonable and the quality and knowledge of staff was very good. Thanks again!
One of your service vans scraped my car while rolling on the side of the road blocking cargo loading entrance/exit when I made a turn into the parking lot. Your driver took off after I circled around in the parking lot and came back out. Absolutely dishonest.
Akal plumbing did the plumbing work for my new house and laneway. I was not impressed at all by their work. I had multiple plumbing problems during and after construction. 1. There were several substantial leaks coming from the water heating system during construction, which soaked into the baseboards and drywall. It turns out they did not tighten the pipes enough. 2. Their installation of plumbing fixtures is sloppy. Crooked shower fixtures and towel bars. My showerhead is ungodly high. They installed the showerhead coming from the wall at 8 feet. Why is this a problem? Because the showerhead model has a button on it to switch between the showerhead and handheld shower. Nobody can reach the button without a ladder. 3. The water pipes in the laundry room is aesthetically horrible. Even the independent inspector I hired said it was a horrible looking job. The inspector said it was up to code, but definitely not up to best practices in the industry. What was wrong with it? Normally, the pipes are concealed behind the drywall, but they cut a huge hole in the drywall and all the pipes are exposed beyond the wall line. I can reach my hand into the 20 inch hole and pull out insulation. They refused to fix it, saying "there's nothing wrong with it, and if something messes up, then we have access to everything". They just pushed the washer and dryer up against the pipes, so that you cannot see it. This is not the first house I've lived in, and I've never seen such sloppy workmanship. 4. Radiant floor heating was not working. Something really funny was going on. If you turned on the heat to something reasonable (19-23C), the temperature of the home would not change for days. You had to crank the thermostat to 35C in order for the on-demand water heater to kick in, and it would turn the house into a sweatbox at 30C. They eventually fixed it, but didn't explain what had happened. I had to have them come by around 5 more times after the house was done, for them to fix their deficiencies. I'm just crossing my fingers they didn't screw up something that will cause water damage years later.
