We had Vortech complete a septic inspection for the home we are purchasing. Vortech charged us $603.75 ($575 + tax) and the inspector was on-site for maybe an hour. In other words, they are charging out at a rate of over $575/hour for a simple septic inspection. Moreover, the "report" provided by Vortech was a single page and in point form - the inspector maybe spent half an hour on it tops and it took him quite a while to get us the report. There were no pictures and no details in the report, and the inspector did not go through the results of his inspection with us. In stark contrast, the inspector that performed our home, wood stove, and chimney inspections (Highland Home Inspections) spent several hours performing the inspections, spent at least an hour going over the results of his inspections as he walked us through the house, and provided an 86 page report with pictures that he had clearly spent several hours putting together. Further, Highland only charged us $525 for both the home AND wood stove inspection (i.e. they were definitely charging less than a $100/hour for their services). In summary, not impressed with the service we received from Vortech given the cost paid. Definitely not great value for the price and would not recommend them! Stoked with Highland though. Would totally recommend those guys! Name of our inspector at Highland was Sean.
Outstanding service, top quality.
Over priced. Charged 140 just to come out to the house and 100 hour after that. Charged 22 for parts he did not use.Could not fix fireplace as they did not have the part. Was not happy. Would never use again
I cannot say enough good things about Vortech Plumbing. Prompt, courteous, hard working men. Had to have my water main replaced and re-routed and it was all done in one day including a new hot water tank. When I needed my kitchen taps replaced the plumber went to Home Depot to get just the right set which was appreciated as I live in Chemainus. I would not get any other plumbing outfit. They should be proud.
Had Ross from Vortech out to redo our kitchen water lines and drainage. It was a very positive experience done efficiently and professionally. We then put a three piece bath upstairs and had them rough it in and finish it by tying into the main drainage system. Again, we were very pleased with Ross's planning and execution. Everything is working and we are glad we chose Vortech to do the job. Highly recommend these folks.
