Jacobsen Plumbing & Heating

We recently had a water heater go out and he came and got it fixed. Also we had a problem late one evening with our tub (not turning off) and he was over and fixed the problem. Very reliable and excellent quality!!!

Merlin Jacobsen, Plumber from Park City UT, was hired through my home warranty company. The man seems very likable and cooperative on the phone but, as we worked together, he continuously forgot our scheduled appointments (left me hanging without even a phone call more than once), after two weeks of me calling him & rescheduling, the day finally came when he said he was really going to show up, he was two hours late and he showed up only because I called him again to remind him we had an appointment. When he arrived, he had already forgotten what the project was, although we had discussed it on the phone. When he arrived, I had an entire driveway for him to park in but, he chose to park literally halfway in the street even though I told him we had been advised by the city there would be fines for those who did so. His comment was "they won't bother me" and let his truck in the middle of the road. He did the work which, was replacing a washer on one fixture to stop a leak and tightening another fixture. Upon replacing the washer he loosened that fixture. When I called him to discuss it, he said he would return to fix it and again never showed or called. He was also, reluctant to take responsibility for loosening the fixture which, was absolutely his doing. It, was the fixture he was working on and I had no prior problem with it being secure. After several conversations and working with him, I must say, I question his honesty, integrity, absolutely his professionalism. The home warranty company was as frustrated with him as I was. If, I could give him minus one star, I would.

Helped us with a broken water softener that had sent resin beads throughout our water system blocking flow to the kitchen sink, dish washer and washing machine. We'd had it looked at by another, but Merlin was the only one to figure out how to flush the system completely and get us back to resin bead free. He's pleasant and professional. That's a great combo in this business. We recommend him highly.

Has come to my condo several times and done outstanding work each time. Professional and courteous. Just fixed my sink late on a Sunday night with short notice. In and out in 30 minutes even though it was s tricky job. Definitely recommend to anyone else.
