I thought they were a great company! Ed himself came out to inspect the work that was proposed to be done - which involved tearing up a path from the bathroom, to the hall and through the patio - as I had a drain line that had disintegrated. They showed me the pipe when it was exposed, and sure enough, it was mush. Back in the 60's, they used a sort of tar paper pipe that fell apart after almost 60 years. Anyway, it was a huge job that they completed and cleaned up in a couple of days. The price was pretty high, but the job itself was immense, so I thought it was justified. Since then, I've called them about miscellaneous stuff and they have been helpful over the phone. And since I'm now selling this house, they've emailed me the invoice (from 5 years ago) because I lost mine, so I could show the work done to prospective buyers.

Called after 10 on a Thursday night in a bit of an emergency and they had a guy there within the hour. Despite having a small hiccup trying to find a water shut-off valve on my trailer home (hey, it's not where you'd think it would be,) everything went extremely well and the guy who came out was friendly and courteous. Really got me out of a pinch! Couldn't be happier (unless it was free of course...)

I was very impressed with the quality and speed of their work and promptness of their response. However, when there are inaccuracies in the billing and if anything was broken during the repair, getting any resolution is quite a painful and tedious process. It's been two weeks and I have called 5 times and constantly they tell me they'll have Ed call me back. This has yet to occur.

We called this company to replace a diverter in our shower and a hose on our kitchen faucet. The kitchen took him 5 minutes. The plumber then spent an hour trying to get the diverter out and finally gave up. We've had the diverter replaced before so I know it can be done. This guy from Ed Phillips said the only way to fix it is to tear out the tile or cut a hole in the wall, so he obviously didn't know what he was doing. Then he presented us with a bill for 108.00 which he insisted we pay on the spot. I told him that was very high considering that he did not complete the job. He offere me a $10.00 reduction. Considering that he couldn't do the job and we will have to pay another plumbing company to come out, I feel the bill should have been reduced significantly. We have called the owner of the company and are waiting on his return call.
