I called their service to check my AC that was dripping condensate water down on the living room ceiling. When I made the initial appointment I was given a “diagnostic” price and I agreed. The person came the week after as promised and stated he might have found the issue. He recommended unclogging the drain pipe and replacing the PVC pipe. I kindly informed him that the fix he is trying to implement has already been done at least 8 times in the past and has not fixed the issue. He stated it was different this time, he felt something Being dislodged . Job took approximately 45 minutes. Mind you I was not given an initial quote for the fix he did and was under the assumption it will be included in the diagnostic price. In my experience whenever someone fixes anything they will give you a quote. If you agree to pay they will proceed. Once he was done I asked him how much I owed and he stated he will write it up and come back in a minute. When he came back he gave me a price that was more than double the initially agreed upon “diagnostic” price. Asked why the price changed and shortly into our discussion I was being yelled at and cursed at in my own house, in front of my 3 year old daughter and my mother. I did not once raise my voice nor used profanity. The person went on and on yelling and cursing and stormed out of my house. I did receive a call from the owner and he seems like a sensible person, and did apologize for the service mans behavior but couldn’t get over the fact that he excused his employee on being overworked. A few hours after I called back to let them know that my AC is leaking just as it did before...way to fix it.
Great service, not Update... needed to use their services for a second time in less than a month. The tech was there for an hour and charged me for 2 hours.. excuse was, we start charging as soon as we are dispatched to the location..
# I called for a vanity and sink installation back in August 2018 and an appointment time was given for 1 PM on a Friday the 17th. The tech and a helper finally arrived at about 3:30 pm and Immediately charged me $ 80.00 to tell me the job would run $ 860.00 plus the $ 80.00 estimate . Now mind you I was supplying 90 % of all the parts. Their parts consisted roughly 2 new under the sink shut off valves and a pvc drain pipe and some small nuts and bolts , ect. 5 1/2 hrs later on premium time and and a helper that twiddled his thumbs in between cigarette breaks the job ended but only to be told the mechanic needed to return Saturday morning with a tool he did not have on his truck to finish his work . The cost for Friday $ 1058.00 which included the clock on my job starting the minute his previous job ended . Saturday he returned and told me he needed to charge $ 49.00 to finish the job which after he finished I refused to pay ! I have called several times and have had a rep stop by my home and have yet to hear from them ! To me Jenkins stands for over priced contractors that do not stand by their customers only their profit margin ! Jack V Verseput Sr Linwood, NJ
To install a kitchen faucet they gave an estimate of $650 plus $85 to come out. Other local plumbers gave the average price of $180.
Air conditioning was serviced but service person, who had a bad cold, took a long time in the kitchen doing the bill and on his cell about other customers at least 15 minutes. He had a large back pack. When he left a large jar full of coins ($25 $30) was MISSING from the kitchen counter.
