Steve Martin Plumbing Co

My mother hired Steve to fix a leaking sink drain, a job which she was quoted 200$ for. This would have been OK if Steve completed the job in a timely manner and within the price range he quoted, he did not. After Steve left the first day we discovered that the sink drain was in fact still leaking. My mother called Steve to come back and FINISH the work he had started the day before. She did so under the assumption that Steve would stay close to his initial quoted price and only charge for parts (which equaled 30$) and maybe a discounted labor rate. This was not the case, Steve billed for time from the moment he turned his coffee pot on and wrote the bill out for.......wait for it.......200 more dollars. This price was also not explicitly given to my mother before he started fixing his work from the day prior she was just handed this ridiculous bill. I don't take leaving bad reviews lightly because I know it can hurt peoples livelihood and in all honesty once the work was done right the SECOND time it was good work. But I know that my mom was WAY overcharged and I think that anyone, especially if you aren't good with negotiating, should know what they are getting into when contracting Steve's Plumbing. All of this, two days, 400$ to fix a leaking sink drain.

I have always used Steve Martin for all of my plumbing needs. He is honest and dependable and always gives me a better price than any other company around town!
