Payless Plumber Gastonia NC

To be honest I would give this company 0 stars if I could. We contacted Jason about 5 weeks ago to get a quote to run a water line and a gas line for us. It took them 2 weeks to come out to begin the work which is reasonable and the price was reasonable. The main problem that I have it that they were not on time for any of the appointments we scheduled with them and as far as communication they are terrible with it because I had to call them every time to figure out when they were coming out or to even get updates on the work that we had requested to be done. The water line was installed on the day we scheduled the original appointment and we were told that the gas line parts would need to be ordered. It is now almost 3 weeks after the original appointment and the parts were at the warehouse almost 2 weeks ago (which I had to call them to find out). After sending a text message saying that I would like a refund if he didn't intend to complete the job we had hired him for Jason finally calls and says they will be out today to complete it. Not only did they show up late again but they looked at everything again to turn around and tell my husband and I that they aren't going to run the new gas line for us because of part of the pipe being rusted and they may strip the threading when removing it. I am 8 months pregnant and needed this project done 3 weeks ago when I initially intended. Not to be stiffed right before my child is born. We paid him half the cost of the estimate up front and requested that some of that money be returned to us since they would not be completing the entire job so we will see if we get that back.

Jason never came back to finish the job. Thanks for nothing. Make sure you don't pay them until the job is 100% complete.

Very unprofessional. Not only did they fail to finish the job, but left us stranded without water for 4 days. Thankfully was able to find someone else

I had a leak from my toilet and one under the house. The person came out to fix it and he didn't set the bolts right on the toilet so when we cleaned up one bolt came loose. We had to call him back. The next day after threatening to stop payment on my check he finally came back. Now a few weeks later my leak under the house is leaking again in the same exact spot. I called and whoever was on the phone said that they don't warrant their work.... They told me when they came out they did warrant their work and he said "I guarantee you it will never leak there again".. So much for bring a reputable company who backs their work.

Horrible experience with this company! They don’t even deserve 1 star. They didn’t come at the appt set and didn’t even call to until late late Sunday evening which is the next day. The plumber showed up at my house around 8 pm Sunday and had some issues with his tool and have to leave. I called Jason regarding this matter and instead of providing professional customer service he argued with me over and over. He wondered why I’m upset. I will never use this company again. The plumber was nice but Jason was horrible. He need some education to provide better customer service.
