Have used Wind River for many years - however, this year I became a "former" customer. Evidently, in the last month they changed a good deal of their policies. I called a month in advance for my appointment and asked to be 1st on the list in the morning. While over the years, there were no "guarantees", they always came either 1st thing or within 2 hours. I work and can't stay home all day. No one informed me of any change in policy at that time I made my appointment. I called 3 different times on the day I was supposed to be pumped out. The 1st call was after 3 hours of waiting, I was informed by customer service that they can't give any times for pumping because they are focusing on "emergency service". That means that they will NOT give any windows of arrival nor would they call a driver to check to see what the service window might be. I was urged to leave a check or pay over the phone with a credit card. Even the phone company gives window times of arrival. I also don't feel comfortable having work like that done when I am not present. How would I be sure the work was actually completed. The 2nd time I called i (4 hours) it was to cancel the appointment because I had to work. Late in the day, I called a 3rd time, to re-book an appointment, the customer service person explained that this is their new way of doing business. I asked to speak with a supervisor, and was told he wasn't available and that I couldn't leave a message - email - etc. I was told that the supervisor would say the same thing . Really? I find it sad when companies forget their mission - which is to serve customers. I won't be returning - and perhaps they don't need/care about serving a loyal customer of 17 years . BTW, I found in 1 phone call, a local company that was customer friendly, professional and prompt. They gave me a window of 4 hours and showed up, did the work, answered all my questions and were 20% CHEAPER than Wind River. So, Wind River Environmentals - you can have your new policies and your robot customer service folks and your high prices - I have found a better company that is spreading good will. I may be just one customer, but I don't have to accept your new policy of poor service and I am sure that I am not alone.
