My technician did as was stated, he called in advance, he sent a picture by text and showed up on time. He was able to look at my unit, change the part on two systems in what would amount to 45 minutes total. I have no problem with understanding that I was paying for a "service" and not the cost of parts. I have nothing but praise for the young man who replaced the part on my system. Having said the above, what I do have an issue with is the incredible amount of money it cost to have the replacement done. The part in question costs about five dollars retail. To replace and install it consisted of removing five screws to access the area and remove the part. Total time to replace and repair the same part on two systems was about 45 minutes. I am not one to bad mouth an entire company, however, it would be incredibly beneficial to give some warning in advance as to what a repair can run. When you are under the gun and need a repair done on the spot, I don't think that it is fair to expect any reasonable person to understand that replacing a five dollar part by removing five screws should run in excess of $300.00 each is a bit much.
