Cindi Cunningham review about company City Works Plumbing & Heating Services

Don't waste your time or money! I chose this company based on their high ratings. When I called, I was told there was no charge for them to come and diagnose the issue with my leaky dishwasher. They checked it said an appliance repair person would need to fix - okay, all good. I asked them to check my shower to make sure it wasn't related (it had been leaking as well). They said it wasn't but they could fix it for $200. I said no (it was my dishwasher that was the urgent need). It was then that they said the visit would be $125. I decided if they were going to charge me, I might as well get the shower fixed. They installed the wrong part but told me it was because the shower was full of debris and that they would need to go get more cartridges and that it would now cost $450 to fix! The guys were rude and unprofessional. If I could give zero stars, I would. Update based on Rich's reply: My story has not changed - it has remained consistent and is an accurate representation of what happened. Also, anyone who knows me can confirm I am not a violent person and that what you have described is not even close to what happened. My building manager was present and can confirm this. I have asked you to call me and/or my building manager to discuss but you have refused. What has been communicated to you from your staff has been greatly exaggerated and not at all an accurate reflection of what happened. As an aside, the cartridge left behind was a $40 cartridge (it is available at Home Depot for this price). Leaving a one-star review is not "holding you at gunpoint". People are allowed to share their experiences in a public way to provide more transparency. Yes customers will be able to read this and form their own opinions. But as a business, you can't tell me to take down my bad review or you will take legal action - that's not how it works.
