Nilesh Saraf review about company Stevens Plumbing & Heating Ltd.

I called up this company after looking up their reviews. They sent a plumber who was untrained, to fix our toilet. He was making some weird grunting sounds in the toilet while struggling with it (and it scared my wife while she was at home alone the second time). He left without fixing it in the first visit, only to get some parts in the second visit but could not fix it again -- in fact he left it unoperational this time. I only got a call after two months -- so I am not sure what the people were thinking -- that we would not use it for two months? But fortunately we had contractor who came in, made a quick fix and we got it working while the bathrooms were being renovated -- so that's when I realized that the plumber may not even be licensed. I would never in my time again on NorthShore call these people. I wonder how this business gets 13 good reviews and a high rating. Looks like lots of friends and some good PR. I had a chat with John Stevens about him and he still charged for 3 hrs and the parts they ordered. No concession and no courtesy write-off of the amount. They know it was shoddy service but they don't care. I see one more bad review and I completely believe it. The business is going down probably and maybe they plan to retire it.
