Home Services at The Home Depot

This has got to be the worst customer service I have ever received. When I called to get a receipt to reconcile my business I was told by Eugenio that he would not fax me my own credit card receipt. I tried explaining that I could give him all the information pertaining to the credit card including the date and amount of the charge, but I was told that 'for my safety' he couldn't release the information. For my safety? It's my credit card! I wasn't asking for the number! I was offering to give you the number! Never again will I let my subcontractors go to Home Depot. LOWE'S ALL THE WAY!

Despite the fact that everyone I know says if you want to pay a big box store for any kind of install then you need to go with the big Blue instead, I decided to include HD in my list of folks to get estimates from for some installs I'm having done. All of my estimates went great (including one with the big blue) except HD. They didn't listen to a word I said and looked at me like I was stupid. I got the feeling I was more of a nuisance than anything and why on earth would I trust a store that treats you like that with picking out a contractor to do a major install? I won't, and I didn't. I took my business to the local guys myself, who treated me like they wanted my business... probably because with all the money I'll spend, they'll be happy to take it without having to give a big, rude, and unorganized box store a cut.

Its been over a year since we were last in this Home Depot due to poor customer service. My wife went back in there today to look at tile for our kitchen remodel. The gentleman helping her didn't seem interested in helping her find the tile, almost as if it were a burden to him. He didn't seem to know much about the tile options and or prices either. When my wife tried to strike up a conversation and asked him where he was from as he had an interesting accent, he told her he was about sick and tired of answering that question. Needless to say she left promptly, and we will never enter that store again, for ANYTHING! Our negative experience was similar last year, we should've learned our lesson then. Lowe's has always provided us positive and professional assistance. Lowe's will receive all of our business for the next 30 plus years.
