Handyman Newcastle has been an unmitigated disaster for us. He came to our house on a Friday, took off part of the sink and left it on the bathroom floor, took the lights out of their fixtures and left them dangling, then said he had to get some parts to finish the job. He then vanished, saying he would return the next day, but didn't. Said he'd be there on the Monday. Didn't show up, didn't ring us to say why. We rang him - he didn't return the call. I rang a week after he came from a different number - he answered and said he'd call back in two minutes. Did not call back. We had a couple of small jobs and now have a mess at home. He even left a step ladder here. I have no idea why he has decided not to finish our job but now we have to look for someone else. Terrible.
Had some skirting boards fitted by Andy. Job was carried out efficiently and to high standard with no faults. Billy and Andy also helped out with a burst pipe in the house. Due to the nature of the work they were able to come out straight away and fix the problem without any issues. Good service, high quality with a fair price.
I must advise anyone considering this company to take their business elsewhere, especially landlords. I can only advise others not make the same mistake I have. The team seems very amiable and polite as people. I highly commend this. Unfortunately, the organisation in my experience is extremely poor. The outcome for for a rather simple job has been totally unsatisfactory. The job (smoke alarm change, door handle fitting, painting around smoke alarm) remains incomplete 4 months on from initial contact. True, there have been limitations with the tenant which has made things difficult. However, on several occasions cancellations have been made with no reason why. This is despite being told that a job will "categorically be done" on a certain day on the most recent occasion. There has often been no reply to my texts. I have also asked on several occasions for a receipt/written invoice for the job, yet, 2 months on no receipt or invoice has been sent. This is no way to treat customers. I suggest Handyman Newcastle reflect on their organisational processes and customer service. Yes, be nice to customers, well done on this, but the job needs to get done. I will be completing the job myself.
Easy to contact, very helpful and super efficient.
Great Guys, happy to please. nothings a bother from planning at the start right through to completion. Will use again :)
