During the recent " Beast from the East " cold snap our 14+ year old boiler decided to give up working .Using check a trade I contacted Mr Tillett to get my boiler up and running and arranged a visit to my home . I was told the boiler was old and to get it fully working an estimate of £700 was given to my wife and after 3 unanswered texts & email messages I gave up waiting for a reply . I subsequently found an alternative plumber who ended our 3 weeks without heating and hot water (at the coldest time in the last 12 months ) with a cleaning out of our soot filled boiler & flue , gas safe check sign off too. That plumber charged us £120 and my wife even tipped him for his excellent work ethic. Now all of the above puts Mr Tillett in a bad light as potentially over charging to do a job which worked out to be more effort than just attaching a tablet to the electronics on a late model boiler . Leaving a household in the lurch when it was the worse time weather wise and not answering repeated contacts hoping we would just go away may strike some people as awful . But all Mr Tillett had to do was say in person or by return message " This is not a job I am willing to undertake " and walk away without hinting any promises to return or help and this review would not exist at all. As someone involved in a customer service based industry it pains me to place this here as a complaining whinger as so many of these reviews can be unhelpful back stabbing. Please reader be aware NO CHARGE was made but just the above issues . I'm am sure from his other reviews here when he does a job elsewhere in Weybridge or Guildford where the high earners and multi millionaires reside there are no concerns or issues at all.
