Originally went through The Home Depot to have cabinets installed. Initially, before the install, the process with the sales associate went well. Communication was alright between the inventory scheduling, which the inventory person who did come out did not complete his job, accurately, and there were pieces missing for the installation. Now, The Home Depot contracts out different installers, which is a mess in itself. The man comes into the house, and breaks the light fixture with the cabinet he is currently carrying. The light fixture is completely damaged, and ultimately causes more damage elsewhere. Contractor is sketchy, and we never heard from him again. Had to call Home Depot... The Home Depot initially responded saying the subcontractor needed to take care of this process. This is inaccurate, after persistent calls, and a week later with The Home Depot, the manager said it would take months. There has been no help or customer service, and we are still no where just trying to get this terrible installation damage resolved. Terrible customer service, management, I would never recommend any type of installation from The Home Depot.

Don't think they could have messed up my flooring install project more than they did. The team does not have the proper customer service and project management skills to adequately do their job. I had to micromanage people every step of the way. They were always late, often said they would call me back and didn't, randomly failed to measure our upstairs hallway and so we had to basically start over with the process on the hallway, they delivered the wrong product multiple times, they delivered damaged product... it just goes on and on and on. I wasted so much of my time calling them over and over, begging them to get something right + waiting around for their people to show up well after the huge delivery window they gave me. Note: The install itself (done by a 3rd party) was great, and I like the product we got (distressed brown hickory, home decorators), but the project management team gets 2 thumbs down. I will never set foot in that building again. And would recommend not using them for any sort of big project.

Despite warnings from friends and a contractor, I purchased a countertop for my kitchen from Home Depot. Lead time estimated at two weeks…which seemed a long time, but the price was right. Twenty nine days later, I still don't have a countertop! And I don't have a firm installation date. No special circumstances. Just nobody cares very much. Never again.
