Sandpits Heating Centre

We visited when looking to get a wood burning stove. Waited ages for a deeply condescending salesman who seemed to take a perverse pleasure in telling us that our fireplace was too small to safely install a stove and it would need to be completely remodeled. This seemed odd as the fireplace was a reasonably decent size and we know it's been used in the past. We went to another well-respected HETAS-approved installer with the same drawing/dimensions who confirmed that not only was the space comfortably large enough to meet the safety requirements, it was large enough for the stove to function efficiently as a means of heating (which has since proved to be correct). In fairness, this was some time ago and the situation may have changed, but based on that visit we won't be going back.
