Skilled Handyman Services

**AVOID** Bunch of cowboys, don't use them. Made a total mess of the job we paid them for. Overcharged us and took three separate payments. When i tried to get the problem fixed they avoided all responsibility. They were extremely rude and basically blamed us, and swore at us a number of times. We tried to get them to come and fix the mess they left but they refused. When questioned why we'd been charged for two hours when the work man was here for 30 minutes they made excuse after excuse and refused to refund or partial refund.

Awful experience! Would never use this service again - Be aware they can and do charge you whatever they want. Doesn’t matter how long the workers are on site, they will charge you double!! When I questioned why I’m being charged for over 2hrs that the man was not even at my property, the reply was “We have nothing further to add on the matter!” Once you have left a deposit, they keep your card details and will take what they want! There is no room for dispute! Plenty of other companies out there that I’ve never had this problem with, my advise would be to look around for someone else and avoid Skilled Handman like the plague!

If you want an unskilled person sent to do a skilled job and damage your property then feel free to hire these cowboys. Hired a handyman to fit a cat flap. First he did not turn up at least twice. After numerous calls he turned up and damaged a brand new front door in his attempt to fit a basic cat flap. After sending a written complaint through and outlining that wind seeps through the whole dug by him, we were told wind doesn't seep through the hole and thats it. No inspector sent or any sort of investigative questioning.

I recently used Skilled Handyman to have works done on my house and they have been nothing but helpful, I was surprised that they turned up in their own van and had all the tools they needed on time, that was a first for me!

Not even worth one star! Despicable behaviour. Outright Rude and completely lacking any customer services skills. Skilled engineer was a man with a phone and a camera. Took a photo to order a part without actually checking it. A reputable engineer has been since and the part ordered based on a photo was completely irrelevant.
