Boiler fitted, unfortunately it damaged roof so rain leaked into my flat, they sent someone to fix it twice with no success. Phoned the emergency number Friday due to it being 5pm and the roof was still letting water in to be greeted by someone who sounded rude, worse for where and couldn't care less who assured me they'd come Monday morning. They never showed.
Bank holiday Sunday - woke up to no heating or hot water. Phoned emergency line Gas World left message. Within 15 mins Engineer called- asked me questions and send photos of under boiler. He called me back and with clear and simple instructions, talked me through re-pressuring the boiler. Within 10 mins all restored . Fantastic service - excellent engineer!
First engineer couldn't work on Air Source Heat Pump systems, so had to have a second visit. Second engineer couldn't find the issue causing the intermittent fault but invoiced me for a service. Boiler completely broke the next morning and after they quoted £550 to fix it in 9 days time, I took a look myself (something I'd been hesitant to do with zero knowledge/experience) and fixed it in about 20 minutes. It has been working fine for weeks since. Problem was exactly what the manual had said and I'd made abundantly clear before the visit. They refused to accept a reduced fee for the original 'service' (from £100 to £50), which I thought was more than reasonable. They may be fine for non ASHP work, but I'll never know and I suggest you don't risk it.
Terrible customer service. Turn up too early and instead of trying again at the agreed time he drives off. Phone to rearrange and they make out that it is my fault that I was not ready when he arrived. Agree a new time. He doesn’t turn up for that one either. No call as to why. Do not waste your time with these people.
Very pleased with the service and help which we received. Price was reasonable in comparison to other quotes we had. Payment was not expected until all the work was completed to our satisfaction and the Engineer was very tidy. We would definitely recommend them to friends and family and will be using them again.
