We first called Pipeline Plumbers (part of the Plumber Team London network) on May 16th, but have had a really difficult time getting a job finished by this company. We really struggled to get hold of our engineer on his phone, and Pipeline Plumbers clearly did not like us ringing to ask them to sort it out with the engineer. They said it was their job to assign customers to engineers, and were disgruntled about being asked to help us solve our problems with communicating with our engineer. We were firm in saying we wanted help in solving the problem, but not rude. They ended up saying they weren’t Pipeline Plumbers when we rang the number below and not answering our calls. Billy, the engineer we were assigned repeatedly failed to keep appointments, even when we had texted to confirm the appointment after booking them on the phone. Billy was away for a few weeks - totally fine - but it wasn’t company policy to assign someone else while he was away. This also delayed our boiler being fully fixed. Over the 3 months we have been waiting for our boiler to be fixed, my husband called Billy our engineer 29 times, all of which were unanswered. We received one call back. We understand that someone will not always be available but this gives a flavour of the poor communication. I suspect their boiler fixing is fine but they clearly prioritise bigger jobs, and must get enough first time business to not pay much attention to the customer service aspect of running a business. As new homeowners with friends also buying nearby, I can’t see why they wouldn’t prioritise customer service and the recommendations that come with good workmanship and communication. We have finally given up after having the phone put down, and calls immediately rejected upon ringing. We have not been able to contact anyone else in the Plumber Team network. Clearly been blacklisted for daring to get in touch with a problem! HITGAS were very helpful on the phone and recommended an electrician to fit the final thermostat we need.
