I would very strongly advise against using Plumb London. We needed a new radiator and arranged for an engineer to come and give us a quote. This cost £50 plus VAT. The quote we received included other work that we had not asked for, was not related to the radiator and we did not want carried out. Plumb London told us we had to carry out all the work they suggested if not they would not replace the radiator. This meant we would loose the money we had paid for the quote. Only after calling endless times and complaining did they amend the quote, apologise and offer us a discount. The radiator was installed 2 months ago and is leaking. We did not notice this immediately as the it is only leaking tiny amounts of water. Plumb London want another £50 plus VAT to come and look at it. If they decide it is not their fault we will need to pay to have a tube fixed that was never installed correctly in the first place. All in all it is an extremely dishonest company that overcharge for poor service and poor work. Seeing as you have to pay to get a quote it puts customers in the position of either accepting being overcharged or loosing £50 plus VAT.

Don't use. Total fake company. Insisted on an engineer to measure a radiator rather than us buying £48 but to be refunded during fitting. Engineer came and said simple cheap job no problems. Then wrote a report that was completely different. Company then insisted that they would not do the work without fixing some valve they made up was not working (we have had other quotes who said all was fine) and refused to do the work unless we paid extra £300 for things we didn't want. Total sharks Total fake company. Do not use plumb London

We had an issue with our boiler and called Plumb London to fix it. Rates are reasonable, everyone I dealt with on the phone was very helpful, and the engineer diagnosed and fixed the problem swiftly. However, booking a time for them to come that didn't conflict with my own working hours (9-6) turned out to be pretty difficult. The engineer for the initial diagnosis was running three hours behind (which I found out an hour after he was supposed to arrive), so I had to reschedule, and he ultimately arrived three hours after scheduled for this rearranged appointment. Both occasions required me (needlessly in the end) going into work late/leaving early. After I complained, the company offered to discount my diagnostic bill for the inconvenience, but only if I went on to book the quoted repair work with them, which is a little less than generous in my opinion. Getting said repair work booked in was tough too. It took multiple calls (and some promised callbacks that never came) to get it scheduled, plus some confusion from Plumb London's end the day before the appointment about what had actually been arranged. Still, everyone I dealt with was pleasant, and the problem has now been resolved thanks to a very good engineer. If you work from home and can afford to be flexible with your appointments, you won't have a problem. But if you have a tight schedule, it might be better to go with a more established local place.
