Wieronski Plumbing & Heating Inc

We recently received excellent service from Evan and Ryan at Wieronski Plumbing and Heating. Ryan really helped us schedule an appointment that would work with our schedule and followed up so we knew our tech was on his way. Evan provided excellent service in our annual heating system service. Both were very knowledgeable and personable, and made sure we were happy with the schedule and service. Our family has been Wieronski customers for 35 years with several homes and many different services, products, and installations. We have been very happy with the service provided by Wieronski.

Be careful of pricing. I was quoted $603 to replace a garbage disposal that works fine. The disposal itself can be found at any hardware store for $100. If you've replaced one yourself you know this is about a 20 minute job from start to finish. I'm asking for clarification and will update this review if I get a good understanding of why the cost is so high.

I have used Wieronski now several times, and I chose them because of their excellent technicians. I am somewhat handy and I am an engineer, so I ask a lot of technical questions. The first company I tried didn't do so well, then I went with Wieronski and I am extremely pleased with their expertise. Michael was the tech this time, and once before, and he is really good.

Five stars for quality of service! I take one away because I felt the price was too high. Everyone I dealt with from start to finish was wonderful! When I called, someone actually answered the phone (something I was unable to get Ben Franklin in Dillon to do) and they quickly and cheerfully made me an appointment. The plumber who came out (Mike) was very friendly and professional. He showed up on time, was quick, efficient and pleasant. He even ran out to the plumbing supply warehouse and tried to dig up some old parts for my obsolete 1970's zone valve so that he could repair it at a lower cost instead of having to replace it (and didn't charge me for that time). Unfortunately that didn't work and the charge to replace the valve was just shy of $900 which I feel has to be too high. Mike did tell me upfront as soon as he realized what needed to be done that it was going to be expensive and he told me before he had the thing taken apart and it was too late to say no. I didn't get a surprise bill at the end, total transparency by them just to be clear. I tried to ask around with some other plumbing companies to see if $900 is reasonable. As mentioned, I couldn't even get Ben Franklin in Dillon to answer their phone, after calling half a dozen times throughout the day and just getting voice mail I gave up. When I called Ben Franklin in Breck, a woman rudely told me that they would not even give me an informal ball park estimate over the phone. I did manage to get in touch with one place in Vail that gave me a rough estimate of $500-600. So I think Weironski's rates are probably high compared to others. But, they're the only ones in Summit County that would actually show up to fix the problem. So kind of a wash I guess. Update: Had them out a second time to replace leaky valves under the kitchen sink. Same experience. Very highly satisfied with their customer service! Andrew was professional, courteous, efficient, and upfront about the pricing. I still felt the price was a little high. But again, they were the only people I found in Summit that would actually show up to fix the problem. So I'm changing my rating to 5 stars. They charge what they are worth. If you have a plumbing problem that actually needs fixed quickly, Wieronski is your absolute best choice in the county. Very highly satisfied customer!

The Wieronski crew, led by the very experienced owner Mr. Wieronski, impressed me with their thorough assessment, patient explanations, diligent work practices, and of course quality workmanship. Technicians Mike and Andrew were a pleasure to have on the job. Both were always courteous and hard working. They persevered through the challenges of the home boiler replacement and completed the task on time. I was also pleased with the post-job clean up. I'm glad I chose Wieronski Plumbing for the job.
