Would not recommend using Ben, had Ben to plumb my whole house, he done some of the work what wasn’t exactly great, he was meant to come back to fit a new boiler what I had paid him for and it never turned up and to finish off the work that I had paid him to do. After I had paid for both he started making excuses to the point where now he won’t even reply to me or answer my calls. He still owes me money back from the boiler. Had to get another plumber in to finish his work of and fit a new boiler. More then half of the fittings where leaking, radiators where leaking no radiation is the same hight some are more then 3cm out from the others and they are not level. He left us in a complete mess and he owes me thousands what I had to find to get a new boiler so I could move into my house
A Catalogue of Incompetence. Ben may have changed his company name & trading address but he is still the same dishonest & untrustworthy tradesperson. If you would like to have leaking joints, unfinished work, resulting from his shoddy workmanship, you too could have a bathroom like ours. His best ability is to look you in the face and lie. He failed to return & fix the leak under our sink, which he had installed, to which he made appointments and failed to turn up. Had to pay £70 for someone else to fix it. Unfortunately I have just discovered the shower is leaking too. * a year on and I wont hold my breath for the free service he offered on the boiler he installed. Thankfully he wont turn up, as we had to call Gas Safe due to his incompetance.
I used Ben Draper to do a complete overhaul of my bathroom, what a mistake this was, I paid him £2000 to do the job, 1st shower the day after completion the shower tray cracked because he didn't put a concrete base between tray and floor, the wall behind sink unit has a big hole in it that I had to fill myself, the shower leaks, he put the glass on shower unit wrong way, even though there is stickers to tell you what side is easy clean and the tiling looks like it was done by a blind man. 3 times he made arrangements to come and sort shower tray and he failed to turn up, he now has blocked me on messenger and has blocked me on his phone, I have never been abusive to him so there is no reason to block me except that he is a cowboy. It has now cost me an extra £1000 to get a real plumber in to sort out the problems. DO NOT USE THIS COWBOY HE IS A CON ARTIST AND SHOULD NOT EVEN BE CHANGING TAP WASHERS
Our first impressions of Ben Draper were good, he came and fitted an oil fuelled boiler in our elderly mothers house. He said he would sort out the 7 year warranty, we even noticed he signed the handbook for the next 7 years! Shortly after it was fitted we noticed a fuel pipe leaking which he came out to fix...all good. Then it started leaking again but he said he was going on holiday and would fix it on his return but he never came back. We have tried to contact him via Facebook, mobile and email all of which he has ignored. On checking the warranty with the manufacture we found it had not been registered he was also advertising as being registered with OFTEC but they have informed us he isn't. We are sorry now we didn't do more checks before we chose this man, so if you do need an honest, reliable plumber we 100% recommend that you go elsewhere and do more research first.
Vivienne Hart, I had exactly the same experience with Ben Draper a couple of months ago, he left me with a new thermostatic shower that didn’t work and hot and cold basin taps put on the wrong way round. Despite several attempts to contact him, he just ignored my messages and phone call and I also had to call in another plumber to rectify the problems.
