A very poor service. The driver booked to deliver heating oil did not ring as agreed prior to his visit and because he saw a parked vehicle on the road, took it into his head to drive off again. No consultation. Office staff refused to take any responsibility. 'I can't answer for the driver, sir.' Are they all part of one organisation or not?

I have just had an oil tank replaced by Anglia Heating and I would just like to convey my thanks for the excellent work which was carried out. We were impressed with our initial visit and quotation, which I hasten to add was very competitive and the quality of work carried out is second to none. The installers were a pleasure to have at your home and carried out the work with the minimum of fuss. I would have no hesitation using this company again.

Despite living 60 miles from where they're based, I invited AHS to quote to replace my oil tank, largely on the strength of the referral on the Goff Oil website. I expected them to be much more expensive than the two local OFTEC registered plumbers I'd also asked to quote. From the very start of the process, AHS were excellent. They... 1) kept the survey appointment (the competition both missed appointments and had to re-book) 2) provided a detailed quote whilst on site for the survey (the one other quote I eventually got took nearly two weeks, and was very thin on detail) 3) were 50% cheaper than the competition (the local guy who didn't quote gave me a verbal estimate that was similar to the local guy who did quote) 4) sent a surveyor who actually then did the install, so he was very knowledgeable and experienced and gave me loads of helpful advice about doing the groundworks (we had a lot to do and I opted to do them myself, which they were fine with) 5) turned up on time to do the install 6) were well equipped and had all the necessary fittings and accessories 7) worked quickly and carefully, minimising mess and disruption 8) removed the old tank, which was no mean feat given the position it was in and the open groundworks that they had to work around 8) took all the rubbish, including the old tank, away when they left 9) were polite and courteous throughout. The staff in the office have been equally pleasant to deal with. I would recommend AHS without hesitation.
