Richard McGuire from Ryedale plumbing agreed to purchase and install 9 radiators. He charged for these but failed to come to install, eventually after months installed one radiator with a leak, delivered other 8 to install and fix leaks, but did not turn up on install date, and has not answered phone for weeks on end. I am left with 8 half radiators, and unable to even get the remaining bits from him to get another plumber to fit!

Ryedale Plumbers perform contract work for Harron Homes, which is how I came across them. Some of their employees have absolutely no interest in their work and carry it out to a very low standard. We had a badly bent radiator fitted. The plumber said he knew it was bent when he fitted it, but wasn't bothered because he "got paid again to come back and replace it"! The same plumber also "forgot" some soldering, which caused a flood the day after we moved in. Upstairs Central Heating programmer was faulty, so a diverter valve was locked open to turn the upstairs heating on permanently. Baths were badly scratched and panels were falling off. Trims on shower surround were missing. The answer was that they weren't available any more, so something was bodged to fit. A cold fill washing machine was plumbed into the hot water supply. The outside tap was poorly fitted. Guttering was poorly fitted and even after remedial work part of it still has standing water. The plumber blamed it on leaves in the downpipe. The standing water doesn't even reach the downpipe! To this day, a shower outlet drains very slowly. We didn't pursue this, because it would probably mean taking a floor up. The list goes on, but I doubt anyone would want to read it. Avoid Ryedale Plumbers.
