Highway Robbery. Rounded up the hours he spent on the job and travel time. it never takes 1.5 hours to get to Hixon from Prince George. His rates are through the roof. Threatened to sue us for not paying. $125 an hour for labour, $1.50 per kilometer for travel. Stay away from this guy. He was going to come back to do more work, thank god we told him not to.

Do not hire Jerry Whelan, he is a scammer and will screw you over, shoddy work, and will try to use the court system and liens to try to extract more money from you. His license should be taken away, bad contractor.

This guy was just horrid. To start he worked 2 days then without finishing the work disappeared for four weeks. He was unable to follow basic instructions and a few things had to be fixed either by him or by me. To get down to it he really didn't finish the work he was instructed to do and the things he did do were done poorly. And finally there were issues with payment as far as what he wanted to be payed. To sum this up if you want a nightmare of a plumber that will screw you over go for this guy, if you want a good plumber look elsewhere. This guy was just months of lost time.

The lowest is Poor - Fair but it is more like "down right wrong". Heard through a resource that he had 37 liens going at the same time.... gotta wonder. Check your property for a lien as his m.o. is to show up the first day, do a shoddy job, abandon the job and then slap a lien on your property for about a month's worth of work that he didn't do. Has had other reviews on the internet where he has cost people thousands of dollars in legal fees and/or paying him out for work that wasn't done just so the sale of their house can go through. Just saying... do a property search if he's attempted to do work for you and if he hasn't, stay away.
