I’m writing this review to share my recent experience with Lin and Mike Pluming. Our issue was a clogged kitchen sink drain. I had to call three times before I could get an appointment. I initially thought it was a good sign that the plumber was so busy. After being without a kitchen sink for almost 10 days Mike and his helper finally arrived. I was excited that my issue would finally be resolved! The helper used my $30 cheapo snake and attempted to remove the obstruction. I was told by Mike his snake was to big for my drain pipe. My drain pipe is 2”. After the two checked out my plumbing Mike decide to poor acid into my sink drain. I mentioned I already tried draino, but was told this acid would eat though anything it its way. The acid was poured. Then Mike used my plunger to loosen the obstruction by plunging the drain. This effort failed. I was told to be patient and wait for the acid to work. When they were leaving, I asked if they would return. My sink was still clogged and now there was a deadly chemical in my sink. After they left, I noticed the sink was discolored and covered in splotches where the acid was splashed. I also noticed an eating utensil that was also discolored and was not removed prior to adding the acid. I tried scrubbing the sink but I could not remove the acid stains. The acid sat all day until about 5pm. It was then I noticed acid leaking out on to my kitchen floor. I panicked as I have three small pets! I called Mike. He told me my plumbing must be rotten??? I asked what to do about the acid and he told ME to clean it up! He told me he would be busy till Friday! By this time, I was not at all impressed with Lin and Mike Plumbing. I tightened the trap and stopped the leak getting acid all over my hands in the process. My wife and I cleaned up the acid noticed more damaged items. Two days later… Mike called me Friday morning and asked if the drain was still clogged. I affirmed it was still clogged, but did not mention the damage done to the sink. I wanted to discuss that in person. He said he would come over, but didn’t give me a time. My wife and I waited all day for Mike. He never came. I tried calling several times but no one answered or returned my calls. I guess he gave up or knew he that he had messed up our sink. Maybe that’s why they left without fixing my issue. I don’t know. We have had this drain get plugged up once before. Last time, the plumber showed up the next day! He used a power snake and fixed the problem in under an hour! I wish I had saved his card. Lin and Mike Plumbing, NO THANKS

Mike came out to our place two weeks ago. He then strung us along for two weeks before leaving us a message today saying he was too old to help us with our problem. He saw our situation two weeks ago and could have told us then that he wasn't able to take it on. That's two extra weeks of relying on a garden hose instead of getting on with the business of finding someone else for help. Incredibly unprofessional.

Mike has done work at three of our houses over the past 20 years. Each job was completed on time and on budget and to a high standard of professionalism. Highly recommend L&M; they care about new and repeat customers.
