OK, here's how it went for me - they said it was a simple 1 day ductwork and gas line job. First day - no show. I had confirmed date and time with 2 people. When I called them to find out when they were coming, the girl on the phone said somebody was supposed to have called me. Another guy on the phone (the owner, I think), tried to explain to me how it was actually my fault. It wasn't. Rescheduled day - arrived late. One of the workers seemed out of it, and their lead guy spent the day yelling at him loudly, belittling him and calling him names. One custom piece of duct was needed, so they measured and went to get it from a custom duct shop. Why they didn't do that in the 2 weeks prior to job start, I can't figure. I had agreed to let them do the job for time and materials, but with that in their pocket, they didn't seem to have much regard for time or cost of materials. They had spent a good amount of effort making 4" rectangular ducts for 3-1/2" walls. Not surprisingly they didn't fit, so they asked me if I could move the walls. Not much seemed to get done, they told me they needed to come back next day. I suggested they could get 3" rectangular at a local big box store, they opted to go with their custom fabricator. Second day - started late, but managed to finish the ductwork part of the job. Didn't have time for the gas line part. Third day - came and did the gas line. Overall, the work was sloppy, incomplete, some ducts not secured to anything. Picked up dozens of sheet metal screws off the floor and used them to secure pieces of duct they had left sagging. A/C line was left hanging at eye level. They were in a huge hurry to get paid, though. Used my tools without asking.

Bigelow heating and air-conditioning replaced our Oil furnace and tank with a new gas furnace. They gave us an excellent price, and they were very pleasant to deal with. Grant the technician was excellent.
