We were looking for a plumber to install a gas water heater. Every plumber we had dealt with for different projects over the years was a misery. Either they didn't know what they were doing, or they lied about what they were doing, or they overcharged in the extreme. And not many plumbers handle gas installations so we had a big problem finding someone. Gas is not forgiving. It must be done right. Then the heavens took pity on us and someone recommended Stan. He advised us on the phone (without charge) about which heater to buy; and when it was left on our sidewalk (a 250 pound refrigerator-sized box by the store we bought it from, he stayed open late so we could borrow his trolley to move it to our garage. He fairly charged us exactly what he should have charged for the time. He fairly advised us that we could move from a 40 gallon tank to a 50 gallon tank without any venting changes (which would have cost us a lot more). He fairly advised us that a 50 gallon tank would be just perfect for our showering, bathing, dishwasher, washing machine needs even with simultaneous use and he was right. He and his apprentice arrived on time and finished when they said they would. The installation was perfect. They took away the old tank to the depot. They were friendly, honest and reliable. And from what our friend told us this is exactly what everyone's experience is with Stan. Also, he sells tanks (as do most plumbers). So you can buy from him and he will deliver (as well as removing the old one). Don't hesitate to use his services. You will be very glad about it.
