BEWARE OF THIS HOME DEPOT! I am a business owner and "Pro" customer. I will never be setting foot inside of a Home Depot again. The customer service is absolutely terrible. It started with online orders for in store pickup. I have had frequent missing items, orders not ready when I arrive, and extreme hassles if sending an employee for pickup (even with their name on the order). I was in the flooring department a few weeks ago and they had a 72 hours installed carpet deal for carpet of more than $1/sqft. When I asked an associate I was referred to the website...thanks, I know...but I wanted to get details now... Anyway, I paid $50 for a measure of the carpeting job and then came back to the store to schedule install and to pay. I was informed that there was no way they could do the 72 hour install, yet the sign was right there on the desk in front of me. They told me it was a 2-3 week wait. I was told that I had to pay for the measure while under the special program and had to do it in the store and that I wasn't eligible for the deal anyway. Long story short, they still can't install my carpet after about a dozen phone calls from me. I have been promised call backs for weeks and have not received a single call back. Lots of empty promises. I am currently trying to cancel this carpet order so that I can go somewhere else. I have been a long time Home Depot customer, but their service has become extremely poor lately. I spend thousands in building supplies annually and expect professional conduct and integrity. These are just a couple of the dozens of examples of the poor customer service and lack of professionalism, I have so many more, but don't have time right now. I have reached out to this store's management without response, so I have turned to google. I even reported these incidents to corporate Home Depot. We'll see if anything changes, but BEWARE. I recommend anyone who owns a business or has timelines that need met avoid Home Depot at all cost. I will gladly pay more money to be treated like more than a number.

I went to Home Depot and bought a storm door. I had to wait about two weeks no biggy. The door came in and I was called and was told they had no one to install it which I already paid for. Now I wait! I know there are over 40 people waiting to get a door installed. Good times

Bottom line up front- I cancelled a half- finished kitchen project with this HD store. The store's kitchen designer, Kari, was great and really helped us put together (what we still hope) will be our dream kitchen. It was all downhill after that. Got the loan and started the work order on 1 September. Construction subcontractor, while professional on-site and did good work, was repeatedly late for appointments and installations. As a result, my counter-top templating was pushed back twice and installation was postponed until the first week of December. When I went to the store's customer service specialist to complain, I could not get a solid date for completion, but was told that she would do the coordinating with the subcontractors and get everything back on schedule. That lasted one day- I was doing the coordinating again two days later (after another contractor delay). Loan company (yet another third party) was unable to process a 700 dollar goods and service request that I wanted to add to the existing contract, or unblock my account, or tell me why it was blocked. This was the final straw, and I cancelled the remaining contract. It is the middle of November as I write this. Home Depot doesn't seem to understand that they are my contractor, that I pay them, and that they are responsible for follow through on the contract. I got the distinct impression that they felt they had me on the hook because the work was started. I'll never contract through them again and, as a result, will probably save some time and money. BTW- my daughter just reminded me that she has a picture of a sign in the store that claims you can have your countertops installed by Thanksgiving if ordered by October 29th.
