Last week we were ready to close a mortgage on our home the only thing.needed to close was to have a plumber install an earthquake anchor strap system to the hot water tank. There is a label on the HWT which states the tank was installed by Sessions Plumbing in November of 2012. I called Sessions to get the work scheduled, although I wondered why Sessions didn’t anchor the tank when it was installed. The service call was set for the following day. I received a call 1st thing in the AM asking if I were ready for the repairmen. I was ready and he showed up a short time later. The service tech was clean, friendly and appeared to be knowledgeable. He introduced himself as working for Sarkinen Plumbing from Vancouver I said I specifically asked for a local guy off of Vandercook Way. He said it it’s the same company. He said he would need to drain and remove the HWT and it was going to increase the cost because he was alone and would need assist putting the HWT. BACK-IN. Our grandson was visiting so I told the service tech we would not need a 2nd tech to come from Vancouver. Thinking I wouldn’t have the burden of extra travel time etc. He had the tank back in in no time, bled the air and tested for leaks and proper operation. The work area was cleaned up looked neat when he was done BUT THEY CHARGED US $703.00 for the total job. I admit it was a bit more than standard garage install but $703 +tax is a bit much for the work being done. (The anchors should have been done when the HWT was installed.)
Steve did a great job, on time, fair, very clean job this company is professional in every way
I've used Sessions Plumbing on 3 separate occasions and every time they have done a fantastic job. From the technicians who've come to my house to the staff at the facility who've scheduled my service, they are top notch and I would definitely recommend them again.
Won't be coming back here if I can help it. The tech showed up on the wrong day (one day too early) and said he had to charge us for the service call regardless. He spent less than 10 minutes discussing the issue with us, then made to leave. We said, "Wait, we're being charged for an hour of service, we'd like your help for an hour." The guy actually told us that his transit time between the office and our home was included in that hour - what? That has to be a lie or a really ridiculous policy. I mapped it: 13 minutes between my house and his office. Total helpful time: 5 minutes. Total cost: $97. My opinion: no thanks.
Wife and I called because hot water heater went out right before daughter's wedding (of course). Quoted a price. Got prompt service. Wife measured water heater as asked, however, heater brought would not fit....found out none in shop would fit. Took extra time to get one to fit. Long story short, Bill MORE THAN DOUBLE QUOTED PRICE. Attitude received when questioned by my shell-shocked self when I asked about the bill was that it was my wife's fault because she "measured wrong".....WHAT??? The stressed mother of the bride who is not a plumber. O.K. then. Never again and I would advise anyone to get your QUOTED IN WRITING, or better yet, take your business elsewhere.
