Our air/conditioning unit was blowing hot air instead of cold air, so we called ARS to check out the problem. Bobby (the service technician) arrived promptly and shortly after explaining the issue to him, he spent all but a minutes checking both the inside and outside unit before recommending that we replace the entire unit which would cost us $5000-$9000 of which the $79.75 service charge would be applied to. After asking him to explain 1) why he only spent a very short time inspecting the inside/outside unit only to determine a whole new unit was required, 2) why a more thorough inspection wasn’t done given my own awareness of similar issues, and 3) if there were any other alternatives given that the motor, compressor and other mechanical features were still operable, Bobby responded by saying that if there were any other options, it would only be a temporary fix for 1-3 months and would eventually require purchasing a whole new unit. After clearly communicating my dissatisfaction with his inspection method, Bobby then suggested that we make a final decision quickly because he had another appointment for a service inspection to attend to. We of course, decided to decline replacing the unit at which point Bobby collected a payment of $80 for the service call. After talking with some co-workers that experienced similar issues with their AC unit, I was referred to a local AC technician who came out and inspected the unit the same day. The technician started by fully inspecting the inside unit (17 minutes) followed by inspecting the outside unit (12 minutes) to determine that the unit was no longer blowing cold air due to a clogged coil. He then unclogged the line (25 minutes) followed by checking our Freon which he advised was no issue. ARS is definitely a scam as it required a more in-depth inspection by a local AC service company whose service technician repaired the issue after thoroughly taking the time to fully inspect the unit (inside and out) to determine the root cause of the problem. After sharing my complaint with others, many of them complained of similar issues with ARS's service. The consensus is that they're only in the business to make money by suggesting replacing your unit, which of course equates to the technician's commission. My suggestion to anyone experiencing AC issues is to find a company that doesn't pay commission to their technicians. Reason being you will have better odds that they send you a competent technician that is honest and knowledgeable of how a heating and cooling system works.

ARS was efficient, quick, and very friendly. I signed up for a free inspection with Home Depot and was contacted by ARS immediately after. The next day they came out and gave a thorough and easy-to-follow understanding of current problems with my household’s system, all while keeping a demeanor that said “I’m here to help.” I was fortunate enough to be assisted by Nicholas Burton, an enthusiastic worker who walked me and my father through the entire process without skipping a beat. I have worked with ARS and another big name AC Company in Houston and found ARS to be better priced and significantly more thorough in their process of checking on my system. My most recent tech even went as far as to check the temperature of the air coming out of each vent. It was very re-assuring. I will definitely be continuing to use ARS for my future AC needs.

I was really happy with the installation of my new garbage disposal. My technician, Craig B. arrived early and was extremely professional and conscientious. He had to make alterations for the new disposal to fit, and although it took him extra time...the end result was great! The pricing was fair and the work was very well done. He went beyond my expectations to ensure my satisfaction. I would highly recommend Craig B!

The service that was provided was excellent. The only problem that I have is, that, when they installed the air vac in my house, they have to cut through the sheet rock, to get the new air vac to fix. I was informed by the technicians, that ARS would send someone over to fix the hole, in the sheet rock. It is going on three weeks, and no one has showed up to patch up the hold that the air conditioner technician made, when he installed the new air vac, in my wall. If I don't get this situation fixed, I will take legal action.
