The guys were super friendly, clean, and respectful of our home. My baby was asleep when they arrived so they worked quietly so as not to wake her. They took the time to show me the issue, explain it to me in terms I could understand, and help me figure out the best way to fix to overall problem. I’d highly recommend using this company!
So happy I chose to go with Benjamin Franklin! Jonathan was my Plumber and he was awesome! Super friendly, explained everything, fast and efficient! I was so happy with the experience I signed up for their yearly membership. It’s a great deal for what it includes. If you are looking for a plumber, try them out and ask for Jonathan.
This was a free follow up visit (water heater draining and whole house plumbing check) because I used Benjamin Franklin for some plumbing rework on a bathroom remodel. The plumber showed up on time, was friendly and thorough in their explanation of what they would be doing. They provided good advice on normal maintenance and completed the work quickly and neatly.
We had a simple leak at the tank of our toilet. The bolts that hold the tank to the toilet had rusted causing a slow drip. Rather than replace the bolts and the one piece of rubber between the tank and the bowl, their senior Technician, Dave Lambert, who has 31 years of experience as a plumber, told me that he would replace all of the inner workings of the toilet, at a cost of $400+ the $79 trip charge. I asked him not to replace everything and to just give me a price for the replacement of the bolts and gasket, and he said that "they don't even have that in their price book." The only option was to replace everything for $400+ or nothing. I couldn't bring myself to pay $400 for someone to flush a toilet, sponge out a little water, remove a gasket and 2 bolts, then put it back together. The job would have taken 30-60 minutes, depending on how stuck the rusty bolts were. I get that plumbers make commission on how much they sell, but there should also be a provision for just doing the job at hand, without up-selling stuff I don't need. This review would be lower had they not refunded my $79 trip charge, but after calling to express my frustrations, they did refund me. All in all, I wasted my time, their time, and now your time. :) I give 2 stars for refunding me, and 0-stars for not getting the job done. I much rather would have spent $200ish bucks to have this thing fixed right the first time. I guess I'll be calling a handyman next, instead of a big plumbing outfit like this.
John Copeland with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing installed my kitchen faucet this afternoon. John was very courteous and professional he installed my kitchen faucet promptly! I couldn't ask for any better service! I would definitely use this company again! I will recommend them to my family and friends!
