Dealt with them wiprh my home warranty. The lady that answered the phone was very nice. Helped me get my hot was water heater a lot fast. Because I hadn't had it for a week, waiting on my insurance. Called on Tuesday, had a hot water on Wednesday. Thank you so much. The service guys that came out both days, they were not the same. Very nice, very professional. Will use again.
Home warranty company contacted Allen Steele Plumbing to replace a pool pump. It took over a month to get the pump in and replaced. The new pump would not hold prime and it was thought that a crack had formed during cold weather on suction side of pool plumbing. I contacted a trusted pool service company and they came out and immediately said the fittings were not the correct ones for the new pump. So Allen Steele Plumbing just swapped the pump and did not use the supplied fittings and actually plumb the pump correctly. I contacted Allen Steel Plumbing and was berated on the phone and told that is not how it works and the warranty company should have been contacted to have Allen Steele called back out. Why would I want them to come back if they could not do a simple job right the first time. While speaking with the lady from Allen Steele she got angry and actually hung up on me. Extremely not professional company and would not recommend them to anyone.
I live in an apartment and the maintenance guys would never fix our bathtub faucets from leaking. So they called in Steele plumbing. The man that came was nice professional and explained to me what was wrong and what he was going to do to fix it. He assured me it would be done the right way this time I would defiantly recommend them to someone.
This company was recommended by my home warranty co. They installed a new water heater in Feb. 2017. Three months later the water is running out of the over flow constantly, like a faucet flowing. The tech came to my house, looked at my water heater and said, “yep it’s broke”, charged my wife 125.00 deductible and then got in his truck and left. He did not even try to fix anything, and left the water running out of the pop-off valve in to my aerobic sanitation system causing it to spray all day. I ended up calling another plumbing company to fix the issue the same afternoon. The work took less than 1 hour and the part cost less than $15.00. I called Allen Steele to ask for the $125.00 check back and was told, “nope that is not the way it works, son” by the owner. These people would be well served to learn what it means to be a “service” company.
I needed a plumber to clear a stoppage in the pipes that kept causing my clothes washer to overflow with each drain cycle. My home warranty recommended Allen Steele Plumbing, and although I was skeptical about their travel time from where they are located in comparison to where I live being cost effective as a whole, the distance didn't seem to bother them at all. The lady who answered the phone took my information, offered me a choice of days available and appointment times, and was very pleasant to deal with. The two gentlemen who arrived to do the work called to say they were en route and gave an estimated arrival time. They were on time, very professional and completed the job in a very fair amount of time. They left no mess to be cleaned up by me. Keeping all of these very important issues in mind, I hate to say I must call Allen Steele plumbing again this morning, bcause my water heater has issues. I'm very confident it will be a pleasant experience for the second time in less than a month. I'll be sure to post my second experience, upon completion. (Written by Laura Drake)
