Usually when you walk into our house on a hot day, you're walking into cool comfort. Not this time: returning from a two-day business trip on Friday, I stepped from a hot garage into a hot house. The A/C was not functioning. The fan was running. But the house wasn't cool. Early next day, I phoned the Petro 800 #, for service. Very pleasant chat with customer service. And Petro had someone at the house with a couple of hours ... on what was for them a busy Saturday. Tony found the problem immediately: some insulation in our 3-year-old system had come loose and was blocking the air flow. Unfortunately, that meant the entire system had subsequently iced up; he couldn't finish his check-up until the ice melted. So next day, on Sunday, John from Petro showed up to finish the job ... and spent more than 2 hours checking on everything. Plus I learned a lot from him about how to maintain our system for peak performance. Everyone I spoke with, by phone and in person, was calm, personable and radiated competence. Very pleased.
I should have wrote this years ago but I got away from this company as fast possible. I signed a "budget ceiling price plan". It was described as a monthly payment based on my estimated usage. The ceiling price was described as the going market rate. The "ceiling" was a blatant lie as my price was pegged to much higher than the market rate despite oil being down over this period consistently for over a year. This company should rot. I have since completely done away with oil, everyone should.
The service man came as scheduled and identified the cause of the leak, and then replaced the part. He was quick, friendly, and courteous. I was very pleased. This is why I really like Petro. They have the best service personnel.
Got blown off 2 times by service they said they where here left tag on door. I said I was home all day. They said they would check gps.never heard a thing.not even an apology. Made appoint with sales about up grade on boiler no won showed up. I guess they do not like customers time for new oil company
A truly disappointing company to deal with when an employee states one thing, doesn't follow through then I request to speak to a manager and never get a call from one. Yet I'm a "valued customer" they say. Try selling me something I just bought a year ago. Don't look at my account to see I don't need another new central air unit. Credit dept. continued harrassment because a manager can't take a few minutes to talk with me. Go pound sand Petro!!!
