Great folks that obviously enjoy their work and genuinely care about the animals. No hesitation in leaving our dog there again.

My dog is my baby and the Gumpps treat him as such. I've used this kennel 3 times with a very happy puppy at pickup each time. Mrs Gumpp is thorough and they are animal people that care.

This was our first time with Gumpp's Comfort Kennel. First, let me tell you we are very picky about finding a kennel for our rescued beagle Josie. Over this past winter, we searched and searched because our previous kennel had retired. Gumpp's was our last "visit". We knew when we left there we had found our replacement kennel. The Gumpp's (Mr. and Mrs.) are so kind and caring, as well as their helpers. I was in constant contact with Betty via phone or email, and always received a very prompt reply. Betty was honest with me about how Josie was doing, whether it be her eating well to her fear of thunder storms. The kennel is kept very clean - so clean, that Josie did not have the "kennel smell", AT ALL. She smelled just like Josie :) We are so grateful for Betty and Clyde and staff. It sure makes your vacation even better when you know your pets are well cared for.

I really liked having my dogs stay here while I went on a weekend vacation. They love the animals as if they were their own. They take special precautions to make sure the dogs don't mix with other dog families or escape. They can make accommodations for special diets, eating habits, and give honest feedback about how your dog reacted during their stay. I had 2 dogs that shared a run. One has a history of lyme disease and the other is skittish in new environments. When I picked them up they both looked excited and happy. I was told that one did really well and the other had a little trouble adjusting. That kind of honesty spoke volumes for me.
