Bryan and his team were a pleasure to work with. They did a flawless installation of our cooling system and even went above & beyond to lend us a window AC unit until the installation was completed. This was much appreciated over some of the hottest days of the summer. We have had our oil furnace and now heat pump replaced by them and we do not plan on doing business with anyone else in the future!
H.L. Bowman has done such a great job for us on multiple occasions. Everything from our annual furnace checkup to fixing an emergency we had in the dead of winter on very short notice, they've been there and done a great job for us. I've dealt with at least 4 of their technicians and each one has been professional and very knowledgeable. They always deal on the table and I would trust them with any work around our house. I always choose locally owned family businesses for contracted work and that's what you'll get with H.L. Bowman.
They installed my air conditioner 27 years ago and on the few occasions when it needed service, they came out quickly and the price was always fair, like dealing with a friend. We finally had to replace the A/C and furnace and didn't even bother getting another quote. We wanted Bowman to do it! The price was reasonable, as always, they got it done in a timely manner and did a professional looking job.
My AC unit died during the hottest couple of weeks this summer and I called around to all the local HVAC contractors to see who could respond the quickest. HL Bowan was hands down the fastest. Met with Bryan the same day for an estimate and the crew was out to install by the following week. The field crew did a fantastic job and left the house just as clean as before they started. Would definitely recommend.
I've had HL Bowman out to work on my AC twice in about the past 6 weeks for unrelated issues. The first time, the tech (Dennis) was able to diagnose and fix the problem quickly and was in and out in about 2 hours. He was friendly and explained everything that needed done before he started the repairs. I was happy with the results of the first call, so when I needed more work done on my AC a few weeks later I set up another appointment. This time I got a different tech (George), who was also very friendly and knowledgeable, but he didn't seem to have the same in-and-out attitude as Dennis. The appointment was on a Friday, and he was here for about 3 hours, which was mostly spent on the phone with the manufacturer, after which he concluded that i needed a circuit board replaced on one of my units, which he ordered under warranty. After the part arrived I scheduled another appointment to have it installed. Upon arriving, he spent almost an hour after arriving chatting with my wife (I was at work) about everything but the AC or what needed to be done. And after he did start working on the unit, his work was intermittent between talking on the phone and more chatting about his recent vacation, down to the route he took to get there, pictures of his children, grandchildren, etc. After he actually got into my attic to take a look at the unit, he found the problem wasn't a circuit board, but a wire that wasn't properly stripped, which he cut off and re-stripped. This took him over 4 hours from start to finish to find and repair (including the phone conversations and chit chat with my wife). When I received the bill, I called to voice my concerns about being billed for the hours of wasted time that the tech actually charged me for while he was doing anything but the work he was there for. I spoke with Bryan, who I see now from other reviews must be the owner of HL Bowman. He was very defensive on the phone, and chose to speak over me most of the time rather than listen to the problem I was presenting him, and almost immediately told me that we should "go our separate ways" and refunded me for an hour of labor charges.
