I bought a new heater from them a few years ago. They came out and installed the new heater. They explained everything they had done and showed me where replacement vents had been replaced. This company is professional and courteous.

Ray H arrived ON TIME, and he stayed until he completed the seasonal maintenance servicing of our 4 HVAC systems - a day long undertaking ! He was pleasant, seemed knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done, as well as thorough in his analysis of each of the HVAC systems. Ray identified and recommended a number of preventive add ons for all of our systems, which he then installed/performed. The Giannone Company appears to be well run - the service vehicle was well supplied with needed parts so all the necessary work could be completed in a single day. We used Giannone for several years and purchased service contracts for each of 4 HVAC units. Season after season, at least one of the units was deemed to need expensive and additional services not included in the Service Contract. Finally, one HVAC unit simply wasn’t keeping consistent temperatures in the condo it serviced. We told the tech, and he said we had an old thermostat that needed to be replaced and quoted what seemed to be an unusually high price. We knew the thermostat was only 3 years old, but we assumed the tech had correctly diagnosed the problem. My husband is quite “handy” so he decided to buy a Honeywell thermostat and replace the old one himself. A few days after the new thermostat was installed, there was still no improvement in the temperature consistency and it actually seemed to be worse. So, we called Giannone to assess the situation again. Without looking at anything, the immediately said the thermostat we had installed needed to be replaced with a Honeywell thermostat. We pointed out that was the brand he was looking at! He then said we needed a different model, so we agreed to pay the exorbitant fee and let Giannone replace the thermostat. Once the new thermostat was in place, and we paid the technician, he advised us it would take a few hours for the temperatures to balance throughout the condo, and then said the warranty on their seasonal service work was void because we had installed a thermostat. We weren’t happy, but decided to take up the matter with the Giannone office staff. A few days later, when the system still was keeping the temperatures balanced and consistent, we call Giononne to return. This time the tech said we needed a different thermostat than the previous tech had installed, he changed the new thermostat for a different new thermostat that was IDENTICAL to the one my husband had installed and charged us another exorbitant fee! When we protested, he said call the office and they would rectify the charges. We called, they refused to refund us for the 1st thermostat. When the temperatures were still not balanced, we decided to call another company despite the fact that we had a service contract with Giannone. The new company’s tech inspected everything, and said the coils were dirty and needed to be cleaned. He cleaned them, within an hour, the unit had the entire condo at a comfortable temperature that was balanced throughout the space ! His charge was minimal. The Giannone company never adjusted the charges for the unnecessary trips to install unnecessary thermostats. Needless to say, we Cancelled all of our service contracts with Giannone when they explained coil cleaning was an extra charge and not part of seasonal service covered by their contract. We have the distinct impression that Giannone’s technicians are incentivized to sell add-ons at every service call, but this experience with them was a complete rip- off.

I called to get a QUOTE Peggy answered the phone and was not very clear about the warranty process. I called back and she talked to me as if I worked there and knew prices and how things worked. It’s all in your tone, not welcomed at all.

Horrible service. Installed the wrong part on our washer so that water level settings were incorrect. One setting overflowed the washer!! Used them again (spouse selected, not me) for a hot water problem and heater maintenance. Didn't fix the hot water heater but DID disconnect because of "safety issue". Heater maintenance cost was outrageous. Safety issue was a simple fix that should not have involved disconnecting the hot water. They wanted too much AND left us without hot water until another company could come to fix. The "issue" identified had been approved by the county inspector previously, so still baffled about problem. Never sgain.

My service provider, Ryan, was professional, skillful, patient, and kind. He was also super sweet to my dog! He was helpful and making sure I understood the suggestions he was making, and willing to answer my questions and help me arrive at what I think is a good decision about how to move forward. He also was able to come back this very same day with the extra part he needed. It was a very good experience. I highly recommend this company to everyone.
