Sunset Plumbing of Bend

I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to warn others about this company. I am redoing my deck and needed a gas line to be plumbed from where it was already stubbed out on the exterior of the house to where I want to put a fire table (about 20 feet). In addition an already existing line for our barbeque needed to be moved less than two feet. Our deck contractor arranged for this plumber to look at the job and he gave us a bid of $750. This seemed high at the time but I didn't have any idea what was involved or how much time it would take and since the line had to be plumbed before they could lay the planks on the deck (which was soon) I authorized the work thinking I was getting a reasonable price from honest professionals. I was not there when the work was done but the deck guys were and they said two guys were there at most 30 minutes. I assumed there would be an adjustment on the final bill given how fast and easy the job was but they are demanding the full amount of the estimate. $750 for a total of one hour of work (1/2 hour for two guys). The longer line used rubber hose so the materials couldn't have been even $100. These people are just not to be trusted and gouging what they can from consumers who trusted them and had no idea what this job should cost. BEWARE AND MAKE SURE YOU GET PRICING FROM OTHERS.

We discovered a leak in the piping in our crawl space that goes to our bathrooms, in the middle of the night. I called Sunset plumbing first thing Friday morning, spoke with Sam, explained to her our situation, that we had turned off our water for the entire house and really didn’t want to have acces to no water all weekend! She said she would see how she might rearrange the schedule to get us seen that day... she called back and made it happen. 2 technicians , Ryan and Gabe, were at our house by 3 and in less than an hour the pipes were repaired!! Very courteous and efficient! Regarding pricing.. given the service charge up front by Sam and the final cost was very reasonable for the services provided. I highly recommend this company!
