Good service/bad price. Okay, I called late at night expecting a voicemail or machine. Dale answered. He was very nice about the time at which I called. He was able to come out the next day. This was also a good point. The problem was a leak from our hot water line behind our tub. The hole in the drywall was already made long ago due to a drain problem we had fixed a few years ago. He spent five hours (that is a generous estimate) pulling out the old pipes and putting in new ones. I spend $70/hr on my mechanic. So even though the high average cost for a plumber that didn't have to come in the middle of the night is $65/hr, $70 will work. That would put a generous bill of $350 for labor. The parts he used (once again generous) might equal $200. Well you would expect that the bill would be about $600 max. I get the bill and it is $877! He cited that he removed a shelf in the cabnet to make it easier to work...A SHELF.ONE. It wasn't the whole cabnet for crying out loud. So we were charged $277 for that because all we got was a bill that stated parts and labor. No itemized list of the charges.???? I hope to never have to call him again. Once again, good service, but not worth the price.
