Was scheduled with them by my home warranty. I took a couple days to get my appointment, then had to reschedule because of inclement weather (not their fault). Since this was my first time using my home warranty and I read read a lot of negative comments online about American Home Shield ripping people off, I was worried I was going to end up shelling out a lot of cash. The technician was very friendly and professional and had my unit working in 30 minutes. Luckily my issue was covered by the program. I would definitely use them again.

This company was sent to my residence on an AC service call from American Home Shield. The initial visit I was told I needed a new coil, a new drip pan, and that my outside unit was old, not functioning correctly and was in need of several pounds of freon. Then they turned around and told AHS that every problem I had was caused by a supposed low capacity system which would not be covered by my warranty and that if I wanted them to do the repairs I would have to pay out of pocket for all of this. A separate company unaffiliated with AHS just left my house with a fully functioning system. They needed to replace NOTHING. The coil was dirty. That was literally the only thing wrong with my system. My honest opinion is either your technician is completely incompetent or you are participating in the scheme AHS has going on.

Technical service was OK, but overall customer service and scheduling was terrible. I engaged them through my home warranty service on a Tuesday when my heating system broke. We lost a day because the home warranty people gave them my office phone number and I don't check voice mail often. Scheduling windows are of course four hours wide, so I had to take a Thursday afternoon off work to meet the technician. The problem was diagnosed and parts were ordered, but I had to wait through the weekend until Monday. Parts were installed Monday, after another afternoon home from work, and the system came up and worked. I came back from errands Monday night to find the system dead again, presuming that a defective part had been installed. I called them Tuesday morning, of course, but was told they couldn't come out until Wednesday (yet another half day off from work). Wednesday morning they called to tell me that their one and only technician was called away on an emergency and they couldn't come out until the following Monday (this was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving). At that point, I had been without heat for over a week and was looking at two weeks, including through Thanksgiving that I was hosting. All I got was a mild apology; No acknowledgement that I'd been down for over a week, or that they were leaving me hanging for Thanksgiving, or that I was still down likely because they had installed faulty parts, or that I'd already taken 1.5 days off. I asked if they could get someone else from a partner company or competitor. I got another mild apology and a recommendation to call my warranty company for another assignment. I did that and was fortunate enough to get the right CSR at the warranty company who didn't make me start all over. They got an expedited request to All Comfort Solutions. All Comfort was there 45 minutes after I hung up the phone. Their tech immediately found the faulty transformer that Second Opinion installed, went and got another one, and had me back up before lunch. I don't blame Second Opinion for a faulty part or for their tech having an emergency, but they are entirely to blame for abandoning me. For one, you can't run a heat and air business with only one technician. For another, as soon as they heard that my system was down again, they should have been back immediately; even if it required overtime. Instead, without any sense of urgency, they just kept scheduling me for the next available time slot. It is clear to me that they simply didn't care.

I called this company to report one of their trucks which was speeding through a school zone. The guy was hitting at least 35 MPH and whipped around me when I was letting my six year old grandson off to go inside building. The woman who answered the phone was rude, uncaring and totally oblivious to why I might be upset. I asked to speak to Supervisor. She claimed she was 'Office Manager' and said she would 'handle the problem.' I asked in what manner exactly she would 'handle' the matter. At which point she became even more rude and obnoxious. I asked for her name which she steadfastly refused to give. Her attitude told me exactly how this company views it's customers. This person had no interest in anything outside her own little world. I was clearly wasting her time. If this company allows such people to answer their phones, I can only imagine how their 'Service' representatives might react if indeed, a problem arose. It would certainly makes me question their work ethic all around...wouldn't you? If you can't trust the front office can you trust their workmen either?
