Called at 6:30 in the evening. In less than 2 hours, my AC was fixed, and for what I felt was a very reasonable rate, especially given that it was after hours. As hot as it was, they could have shafted me, but that was not the case at all. It's always nice to find a local company that is prompt, professional, and reasonable.

Great experience with Classic Air. I received the best price compared to all of the other companies. A guy named "EB" was very professional, he was extremely nice, and he knew exactly what was wrong with my equipment. Great experience!!

Air conditioning was not working properly. Had Bill from Classic Air come out and he had it up and running in no time. He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely recommend Classic Air.

I did not want to give them one star because they came out to my home the day after my AC began to give trouble. However, what transpired thereafter, was utterly ridiculous. First, everyone charges a fee to come out, that is a given - even though Classic Air was on the higher end. I am fine with that, but the fact that the technician gave my wife BS information is troubling. First, they tell her that the unit is low on Freon. Well duh, we figured it was low when the outside unit was functioning properly (i.e., turning on) and blowing cool, not cold, air. I am not mad at the first response, as some customers may not realize that low Freon equals cool air and not cold. But what the tech said after that was ridiculous. The tech offered to fill the Freon (of course for a price ($400 for 2 lbs.) and said it "would last the rest of the season". Bullsh!t! I know that Freon isn't supposed to be low in a closed AC system unless there is a leak. If the tech doesn't check for and/or diagnose the leak, how can he make a determination as to how long the replacement Freon will last. That is the first issue. The next issue, the tech did not check or offer to identify where the leak could be coming from. Having dealt with other companies in the past, there are dye tests (which would involve adding more Freon, which is reasonable) that were not offered. There are pressure tests, bubble tests, etc., none of which were offered to assist in resolving this issue. So we paid a fee for this guy to tell me the obvious, Freon is low, and to lie about how long new Freon would last if we have him add it. I can only imagine the discussion if the new Freon lasted only one day, and $400 dollars later. Either way, this is not what I would expect from a company that claims to pride themselves on professionalism. Now I have to hire another company to diagnose the issue so I can decide on whether I want a new unit or not, since the old one uses an older more expensive and less environmentally friendly Freon. Sorry for the long review, but I am tired of these "professionals" taking advantage of people they believe doesn't know any better. They could have simply listened at the evaporator coil or valves on the internal unit to see if there was any hissing or abnormal noise. This guy did none of that!!! A shame.
