We had purchased a re-bath remodeling for our bathroom and the sales person just ripped us off by charging us $12000 to replace the back wall of small bathroom, shower head, the lights and the floor, and a bath tub. The tub they had installed is 3" lower than what we asked for (because they are trying to sell you the smaller size tub but charge you for a bigger sized tub), Sales person also told us that for some reason we cant install the sliding doors in our bathroom? (because its cheaper for them to just install a new curtain rod but charge you for a sliding shower curtain door). We have never been ripped like this before. I never seen such prices in my life! Only good thing about this experience that the installers did a really professional job of installing everything. But for $12000 we could have re-bathed 3 bathrooms.
Bought carpet, waited 3 weeks for install. They showed up and could not install. Entire home project delayed - costing immeasurable amount of $$ and time - and the kicker, we offered to install ourselves if they could match the price in an alternative product and they said "no". I write this only to warn others. Please do not hire Home Depot for any kind of installation. There's a reason it's "free"
We'll start with the pros. I was able to walk in, find what I needed, and they helped me make an order for something they didn't have in-store. Seeming pretty common at that point. Well, I made my order on 6/17, and the estimated date of arrival was set to 6/20. The guy making the order explained it would likely take about 5 days, and that I would receive a call when it was delivered. Well, I went in without getting a call, hoping it would be there. I was told it wasn't shipped yet and that it would be there at some later date, having forgotten at this point what that date was. Again, went back in, didn't get a phone call, and it was not yet shipped. That was around 7/1, and at this point I was slightly annoyed, but it wasn't a huge deal. Finally, 7/19 I get to pick it up. They were having computer trouble and almost sent me away today as well, but the service desk was polite and managed to help. At a month past the estimated date of arrival, I'm not in a rush to give much more of my business to them. Lowes has always done well by me, and I should have known better than to go somewhere else because of convenience. I will note, all I ordered was a small piece of carpet. It was a 12' x 1' piece for patching. The fact it took this long to get something so small is beyond me, but it has been a pretty horrid experience having a hole in my carpet while waiting on them.
Very poorly staffed at the flooring. Had multiple lomg wait times at the store to check on the blinds. At least 2 wasted visits due to some sort of design system down. Estimate wasnt emailed as promised. Emailed only after i called up and waited on phone. Estimate had wrong window. Visited the store to check but their design system was down apparently 12/27. Called up to find if system was good abd came today 12/28. Waiting for the last 20 mins since there is only one associate and he is apparently with a customer. 01/07/2018 - after atleast 3 more visits I was finally able to make them correct the order and pay for it. ( this alone took 2hrs ) . thought my ordeal was over. but no ... after a few days I found they have charged me $50 extra which I had already paid for measurements. again I had to visit and get it fixed. but guess what , the refund is yet to come through to my card. been 3 days now. emailed customer service. this is by far the worst experience i have had buying at any place. I have added complaint at the BBB. no response from Home Depot 01/17/2018 - BBB review got responded. Blinds installed today. But not so fast. Set of Bali blinds came with slat holes instead of the privacy ones we wanted. Noticed that the valence for 3 of the bali blinds were not what we ordered for. How complex can buys blinds get?
