Portman Mechanical -- For all your Heating and Cooling Needs

I couldn't be happier with the excellent service I received for both furnace and A/C. They arrived promptly at the scheduled time, identified themselves to me, and thoroughly checked both units. I was extremely impressed that they checked for CO upon entering the house to do the furnace checkup. Many others don't even bring a carbon monoxide monitor with them. And for my A/C which had been leaking coolant, they actually took the time to see if the part that needed replacing was under warranty. It was!!! What a relief. As a homeowner it's very important to me to to have trust in the company that's doing the work, I very much have that with Portman Mechanical and that's due to their professionalism and integrity. Without any reservation, I highly recommend them.

Excellent service and quality work! Hard to find these days. We’ve had other people come through when we first bought our house. They just tried forcing us into a new heating an AC unit. Portman came out and was more than willing to help us get as much life out of our system as we can. You have lifetime customers here, and when we do finally need a new unit Portman Mechanical will be the ones to install it.

Above all else, Portman Mechanical will get the job done. We had a slow leak coming from our hot water heater that seemed minor so we just wanted them to take a quick look. Mike was the service man who came to help us and I trusted him immediately, he knew what he was talking about and yet was willing to explain it to my knowledge level. As soon as Mike saw it he knew that we would need to replace the whole system. He wasn't able to do it immediately but had me set up an appointment for the following work day to have them replace it. Jennifer was an absolute pleasure to work with on the phone and we got them all set to replace it. When Mike and Chris showed up to replace the hot water heater they ran into unforeseen issues with our water shut off. I had to call the city to turn off the water but they couldn't do it until the next day. While this situation was frustrating, Mike kept his cool and kept us cool. The very next day the city turned off the water first thing in the morning and Mike and Chris showed up right after to get to work. They were working with a really weird set up from previous work done but they still got the new one installed with all the hiccups for the original quote price. I wasn't able to be there in person but if questions arose Mike was a phone call away and they really took care of it all. He even followed up that evening to see if there were any more concerns that I had. Mike, Chris, and Jennifer all were very pleasant to work with and went above and beyond. We HOPE to not need any more service in the near future but we know who will be our first call if we do need help.

I have used Portman Mechanical a number of times for furnace and a/c maintenance. They also installed a hot water tank. They have always been prompt and professional. They explained any maintenance issues and cost involved. I have found them to be very pleasant to work with.
