Inter-City Plumbing

I had a shower valve repair authorized through a home warranty. The plumber showed up on time and installed a new shower cartridge. For some reason he did not set the temperature control right so the shower barely got warm. I called them out again and they did not solve the problem. I had to watch YouTube videos and fix it myself. It was incredibly easy to fix. I don't know how a skilled plumber could mess it up two times.

Called American Home Shield for water heater service. A rep from Inner City called within a couple hours and said she would have some one out between 1 - 5 pm next day. I was naturally apprehensive because of the reviews. The plumber, Richard, arrived at 3pm, quickly identified the issue, had the part on hand and made the repair. Less than 30 minutes. He was on time, professional, nice guy and explained the issue. Fortunately, it was a minor repair but worth the service call fee and no problem with the service received.

Unprofessional and incompetent. Going on my 3rd appointment with them because they still haven’t been able to fix my water issue of the pilot light not staying lit. The windows have been between 1-5 and both times they have come after 5PM. Getting anyone to call you back is impossible so I’ve had to call them back to back for updates it’s been over a week and there is still no hot water. This company is though my home warranty, otherwise I would have dealt with another company immediately.

Still awaiting a call back on a scheduled repair. Was quoted a figure over the phone to replace a leaking cut off valve. This was after the plumber inspected the leak and told me there were two ways to fix it. Upon calling to finally schedule, I asked which method was he using to fix the leak. The operator said, "all I do is schedule". I replied that I wanted to know and expected a call back. While waiting for the call back, I contacted another plumber who came out the next day and quoted a price 30% lower to do the full job! Further, he proceeded to do the work immediately. I'm still waiting for Inter City to call. There are many, many better, cheaper plumbers in town who provide service--not aggravation.

The only tech who is honest is Brennan. The owner broke off a piece on my water heater and caused a gas leak. I had to have the gas company shut off my gas ive been left with no hot water for over a month. The owner said he would fix it for 900.00 dollars even though its under warranty. The gas company said theybwould charge 100.00 dollars. This All Intercity Plumbing company has amaster tech who owns the business and is a crook who purposely breaks the item and tries to extort more money. I am very disappointed.
