I highly recommend for your plumbing needs, call Tarvin Plumbing. Tarvin Plumbing fit my emergency plumbing issue into their schedule on standby appointment, and was far better than their competitors in cost & service.
Fair, honest, friendly. They always have a solution.
Had Tarvin come out for a clogged PVC pipe for the washing machine unit. There initially was some confusion because water pressure was checked which might have led to a water heater leak that started soon after. They came out again free of charge and they refunded me for the original visit because of the water heater leak that they were able to fix. Mark Tarvin came out the second time and explained everything in great detail and also gave me competitive quotes on replacing the appropriate malfunctioning equipment. At the end of the day what you want is accountability and professionalism in a company, and you definitely have that with Tarvin. Would recommend them to friends/family.
2015: I called Tarvin to clear a blocked sewer drain line (as the result of an unbeknownst item flushed by a guest) that caused my basement to flood with raw sewage - they were prompt and professional, and the price was $100+ less than that which was quoted by Roto-Rooter. Ergo, I was pleased. 2018: I called Tarvin again for a blocked sewer drain line (the same one, caused by invasive roots) that caused partial basement flooding. Not that I expected it, but Phil and his assistant were thankfully available and arrived within 45 minutes... and 45 minutes later, the job was done. Again, the price was correct... and again, I am pleased.
I called to get a quote on a project. I was told that they would be glad to come out to give an appraisal for a fee of $90 (which would be applied to the bill if hired). I explained that I understood why they might charge an appraisal fee and that I would keep them in mind in case I decided to go that route but at this time I was going to hold off. SHE HUNG UP ON ME! Thanks for showing your true colors so quickly. Helped me more than you know. I am sure that Tarvin Plumbing does great work and is likely to be a reputable contractor; However, they should be aware that their front line person answering the phones needs a crash course in customer service skills. Very unfortunate for them.
