Wished I had read reviews! No problem getting appointment ... BUT ... worker never called before he showed up ... so he gets here unannounced and left because he didn’t think anyone was home (my 27 yr old daughter was in the basement)! He supposedly knocked and no one answered ... the guy came back, told me over the phone that it would be the same price to replace a cartridge in the faucet as it would be to replace the whole thing?!?? He said I could go out and buy a matching faucet at a later date and he’d come back to install it! ... I was charged $117.50 TWICE ($235.00) for a service call (because he left and came back 5-10 minutes later) ... $25.00 for a cartridge that drops in the faucet handle ... the bill was $260.00 for maybe 15 minutes of work ... I had my daughter pay cash for the bill ... I then called 2 separate times and left messages about the bill ... no response. About 3 weeks later, the receptionist calls and leaves a message stating our bill wasn’t paid and I now have a late fee and could I call, they’ll take my credit card payment! I immediately call back, she was curt and rude. I explained I had paid $260.00 CASH, I had called twice previously and why hadn’t she called me back and she had no answer ... I told her it was funny that you’d call me for supposedly non-payment but, you won’t call me back about the questions I have about my bill ... I said I kept a record of the times I called and she said “we keep a recorded copy of all calls and messages” ... okay! So then why didn’t you call me back ... CRICKETS ... I continued to question my bill ... she then admitted that replacing the cartridge should’ve been cheaper than replacing the whole faucet ... so I continued with more questions and she was getting irritated ... she seemed to think I should accept her her answers and to not continue asking her anything more and that her answers were satisfactory, end of story, but because I continued to question the pricing, the actions of what the worker did upon arrival the first time he showed, the way the worker performed, how the worker couldn’t even give me an ideal estimate and the morals of the company ... SHE HUNG UP ON ME ... I’m not the only one she’s done this to ... this seems to be her way to handle concerns and complaints she gets about the company and by the reviews, it happens A LOT! I felt the company was highly and unfairly over priced, customer service rude and inept ... worker who came to my house, flighty and not “seasoned” ... lesson learned ... READ REVIEWS!

Matt and Steve are great. Not sure what all of other reviewers are upset about. Had no issues on all sorts of work on my property.

Literally from start to finish the most unprofessional contractor we’ve ever experienced, and we come from three generations of contractors so we’ve seen enough to know. (They were a sub, so be sure to have listed in your contract the names of every company doing any work and vet them). This was a remodel, so all we can do is hope that their smarmy awful attitudes and lazy, sloppy finish work isn’t a reflection of what’s behind the walls and under the floors. In a nutshell, we wouldn’t even have them back for warranty repairs. We’ll just hire professionals and send them the bill. Run from these people as fast as you can.

This is our 3rd time over the past couple yrs using Russell Plumbing. Have had great service every time. This time I left VM last eve when our sump pump did not kick on during the downpour. Steve called me back this morning by 7:45am; Barklay was here within the hr. & replaced the malfunctioning part. Prompt, courteous, knowlegable. Will definitely call them again for plumbing needs!
